Who made this rock video?

I saw a video recently featuring a group of guys. Story had lead singer contemplating jumping off a bridge. His chums were in a pub drinking, got a call telling them about his actions. They jumped into a car and raced to get to him in time. Cut between their race and the lead singer removing his watch, shoes, etc and climbing onto the outside edge of the bridge. Just as the friends were almost there -- in sight of their friend -- they have a car crash and the car goes up in flames. At the same time, the friend on the bridge (who doesn't notice the car crash), changes his mind and gets off the bridge. I saw it once on MTV online but can't find it now. I thought it was AFI but don't see it in their list of vids.

Anyone recognize that?

Who made this rock video?
You're right, it was AFI. It's the video for Silver and Cold. 2002.

Here's the info I got from Wikipedia.

The music video begins with shots of Prague, where the video was filmed. As the guitar begins we see Davey looking sorrowful somewhere outside, while the other band members are drinking coffee and generally having a good time in a cafe. A shot of a medium-sized splash (if you pay attention later you'll recognize the splash as the one made by Davey's watch) coincides with Adam dropping a sugarcube into his coffee. In the background, Jade is on the phone with someone and looks concerned. Shots of Davey singing are spaced between shots of the cafe, with Hunter and Adam becoming increasingly aware of Jade's distress until Jade informs them of something important (the actual dialogue is disputed). The three race out of the cafe, leaving the phone off the hook and hanging by its cord, possibly to stall for time.

Now outside, Adam, Hunter, and Jade are seen running, as Davey takes off his jacket. A flashback scene is shown, in which Davey enters a phonebooth and is speaking on the phone with Jade; the call from the cafe. Davey looks toward the nearby bridge and the present is shown: Davey stands on the edge of the bridge looking down at the water. Although implied by the scenery and Jade's concern in the cafe, this is the first scene that actually suggests that Davey is planning to jump.

Hunter and Jade run past a car, but Adam stops in his tracks and then commandeers it. The three get in and speed off, with Adam driving. As the car races down alleys and careens around corners Davey is shown on the bridge, apparently contemplating his suicide. He removes his watch, possibly a symbol for time, and drops it into the water far below. A ring, possibly a symbol for relationships or worldly commitments, soon follows. Soon thereafter a larger splash is seen that could not possibly be anything other than Davey himself, though whether this is an actual event or simply imagined or desired by Davey is up to debate.

Adam's driving becomes increasingly more reckless as they speed toward their destination, and as they near we see a truck cross the bridge at a somewhat high speed. We switch to the three's point of view and see that Davey is visible standing at the edge of the bridge and Jade points towards him. Adam turns but notices the speeding truck too late and crashes head-on into it, resulting in a rather large explosion that presumably kills all involved. A chilling shot is seen of Davey's face, eyes downcast, the crash explosion in the background. As the fireball balloons upward Davey looks directly into the camera, almost knowingly, as he turns and steps off the bridge back onto the safety of the street. Seemingly unaware of the crash behind him or the occupants thereof, as worried onlookers rush toward the scene, Davey simply pulls on his jacket, as his arm passes through a worried onlooker and walks away.
Reply:i guess delight0211 summed it all up for you.
