Best place to buy climbing gear?

after going to the rock climbing gym on campus and spending $5 for gear and admission, i%26#039;ve decided to bite the bullet and buy my own gear.





i%26#039;m looking for shoes, a harness, and a chalk bag/chalk.





does anyone know of a store in the pittsburgh area that would carry climbing/bouldering gear? dick%26#039;s, sportsmans%26#039; warehouse, and cabela%26#039;s don%26#039;t.





if not, is there any online store that you guys trust?

I think the best deals can be found online. Just google %26quot;rock climbing gear%26quot; and you will find literaly hundreds of online retailers. Many offer beginner packages that include a harness, a belay device, shoes, and a chalk bag, (or a combination of these things) for a reduced price. I have bought a lot of stuff from %26quot;Gearexpress.com%26quot; and found them to be prompt, accurate, as well as competatively priced.
