What's a good birthday present?

For my brother, a nice guy, who loves to go mountain climbing, snow shoeing, likes to read, and never watches tv?

How about a basket full of related items to his likes..


tickets to travel to a special mountain climbing place he%26#039;s dreamed about, a good book to read on the plane.. A journal to write his thoughts in when he%26#039;s exploring to look back on in his older years.. a camera., a gift card to a sports supplies place that he%26#039;d like, gift certificate to a health spa, to pump up his muscles and strengthen his body for all those things he loves..


energy bars, bottled water/ sports drink. , Magazine subscription to a related field he likes.., a new jacket or sweater with gloves.


small supplies for his adventures.. and a photo of you.. the

Reply:Consider books on CD for when he relaxes as he is camped at night and a good %26quot;rugged%26quot; and compact CD player (with rechargeable batteries?). This way if it is too dark for him to read and relax he can still read through %26quot;listening%26quot;.

Reply:My brother is the same way and I always struggle to what to buy for him with out spending a lot of money.





Pick one of the things he likes to do best and buy a book on the subject. For instance if he likes to rock climb buy him a book on that subject.





Sign and date the inside and write a note if you would like to make the gift more personal. If your brother is anything like mine he will just be touched you took the time to think of him.





If you are not comfortable with picking out the book, then a gift certificate to a book store could be a good bet.

the old stand by a gift certificate, so he can buy whatever he would really like. A lot of people do not like the gift certificate, but I prefer it to wondering about sizes, styles, and colors...good luck
Reply:Pick out something that he enjoys? Does he %26quot;buy%26quot; books or borrow them? If buying is it then get him a gift card with a book to go along with it, or something from a store that has to do with the activitys that he is into.
