Long distance as in 200+ miles backbacking adventure, with some road and trail climbing, but mostly flat, quite a bit pavement too.
Who makes the best long distance walking shoes?
for walking shoes New Balance rated best by Consumer Reports and other reviews. Hikeing boots store brands from Eastern Mt Sports and LL bean are the best.
Reply:I am an avid hiker and I would recommend taking a walking shoe and a pair of hiking boots. You will want the walking shoes for the paved portion and the boots for the trail. As far as walking shoes I wear Asics they have a wide variety and are very comfortable.
