Shoes for sand?

My kids daycare has an awesome playground, with a sand bottom. Since they%26#039;re also climbing alot, wasnt going to do sandals. So looking for tennie recommendations? I was thinking maybe those water tennies, since they%26#039;ll often play with water/mud/castles in there too, otherwise they%26#039;re shoes might take forever to dry? But then again, lots of sand could get in those little holes. Any thoughts?

Shoes for sand?
Try Crocs.

They should be light enough to stay on %26quot;top%26quot; of the sand, as opposed to %26quot;sinking%26quot; which should make it easier to walk and they have little %26quot;holes%26quot; in them and the sand could come out easily when he%26#039;s done playing.

Good Luck!
Reply:Get a pair of Crocs. They are a bit pricey, but worth it. They are good in water, sand, mud, pavement, and very cool (feet do not sweat). Plus, there are fun colours and you can decorate them! They dry well (toss them in the sun for an hour or so and TA DA!), float in water (mine fell off while walking in a river and floated) and can be soaked and get as dirty as you want. They are very simple to clean. Also, they are extremely comfortable to wear.
Reply:Another vote for Crocs! They%26#039;re sturdier than normal sandals and stay on the kids%26#039; feet when they%26#039;re climbing. Sand will get into the holes ... but a great deal of it will fall right back out again. (ANY shoe, even tennies, will pick up sand.) Crocs wash off and dry quickly, and are incredibly durable. I send my granddaughter out to her sandbox in %26#039;em. They beat the heck out of last generation%26#039;s %26quot;jellies%26quot;, that%26#039;s for sure.
Reply:I would have to agree with the others go for Crocs. I just got my daughters each a pair and they love them! They are easy to clean and easy to take on and off. Can be worn with socks or no socks. They are just easy!
Reply:You should try water shoes. A lot of places sell them like any kids shoe stores or childrens place store has them online or in store. They%26#039;re great for water and sand areas.
