I am about to start looking for a summer job. I am looking for something in computer networking. The standard "uniform" for that job is a polo and a pair of khakis.
The problem is, I am a woman. Will I look too unprofessional if i wear something like that? High heels and skirts are out of the question. I might have to climb ladders and get under desks, I will make a fool out of myself.
Any suggestions? The shoes are what really get me. Im clueless.
What should a female computer nerd wear to work?
You can buy "girly' polos and khakis. Stores like old navy, gap, and Ross all have nice casual clothing for women that are very cute. Also try Khol's and Dillards.
Reply:fishnet stockings with a red bra you are bound to get the job.
Reply:real boating shoes are fashionable and are very utilitarian, non-slip and such.
the polo/khakis "uniform" is fine, but be sure you're still feminine in appearance.
Reply:Forget about the polo and get a plain long sleeve shirt over a shell top that you can take off when you want plus a pair of comfortable pair of shoes.
Reply:are you into fashion?
wear nice slacks and button down shirts.
